Willow originally comes from China but grows all over the Northern Hemisphere, often near water.

Jewish tradition nicknames the Feast of Tabernacles as the day of willows, due to the temporary structures roofed with willow branches. Willow is the most powerful representation of the Goddess in history, and has been used to refer to Persephone, Circe, Hera, Hecate, & Artemis, Brigid, & The Morrigan. According to Druidic Lore, red snake eggs were hidden under willow trees on the Equinox to represent the birth of the universe. The tradition has morphed into modern-day Easter Egg hunts.
