About the event
Discover the enchanting craft of broom weaving under the expert guidance of Jeromy Robison. This beginner-level class will teach you the fundamental technique of weaving a single layer of soaked broom corn around a standard-width 18" long broomstick. These brooms are smaller than dust brooms but larger than whisk brooms, making them ideal for reaching ceiling cobwebs and window sills. All materials are included. $35 per person. September 28, from 7 to 8:30 pm.
Small cobweb brooms are a great introductory venture into broom-making because they are shorter, lighter, & only include 1 layer of woven broomcorn, instead of 3. That means they take less time and effort to make. First-time weavers will learn skills in this course that will assist with making parger brooms later.
